In February, Munich-based electronics group Rohde & Schwarz united ipoque (specialist in IP application detection software), gateprotect (provider of next-generation firewalls), and its other subsidiaries for information and network security under one central brand: Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. To ensure better communication and more effective collaboration with gateprotect, ipoque has recently moved into the same building, Leipzig's landmark "City Tower", where the two subsidiaries now share offices.
The City Tower is located right next to the University of Leipzig. This aspiring and innovative environment was key to choosing this site as the new company location. What is more, the new offices comprise five floors and will offer enough space for future employments, which will allow Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity to grow further. The company is even planning on acquiring more businesses.
"We chose this location for its proximity to the University, which makes for an attractive work environment, but also to offer our employees modern technology," says Ammar Alkassar, CEO of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity.
Employees of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity have also contributed their ideas and requests to the design and arrangement of the new office space. For example, the 10th floor will hold a modern and spacious kitchen which will meet the employees' individual needs and wishes both when it comes to design and practicality. It will also be used as a space for informal meetings and casual get-togethers between employees. On the 12th floor, there will be a central reception area.
The Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity group has offices in Munich, Hamburg, Leipzig, Saarbrücken, Bochum, Darmstadt and Berlin with a current total of 360 employees.
